Privacy notice

This site is a brochure. It has one form on it, no accounts, and no tracking. The whole of what follows is a description of that one form.

What the inquiry form collects

The inquiry form on the contact page asks for five things:

• Name — so a reply can be addressed to someone.
• Email address — so a reply can be sent at all.
• Organisation — optional, and blank is fine.
• Reason — one of a short list of options, so the message can be read in the right frame.
• Message — what you want to say.

That is the complete list. There is no hidden field that carries anything about you, no profiling, and no enrichment of what you typed against any other source.

Where it goes, and how long it is kept

A submitted form is sent as a single email to [email protected] and is not stored anywhere else. The site has no database and no content management system, so there is nowhere for a submission to accumulate. Once the message has been delivered, the site retains no copy of it.

The delivered email then lives in the mailbox that receives it, like any other email, until it is deleted. It is read by the people who build the products on this site and is not passed to anyone else, sold, or loaded into a marketing tool. Your address is used to reply to you and for nothing else.

What the server records

Application logs never record the message body or the email address. What the server keeps is the ordinary operational record — that a request happened, when, and whether it succeeded.

To keep the form from being used to send bulk mail, the site counts recent submissions per network address. That count is held in memory for the length of the limit window and is not written to a log or a store.

Cookies, analytics and third parties

The site sets no cookies and uses no client-side storage, for any purpose. There is therefore no consent banner, and you should not be shown one.

There is no analytics of any kind — no page-view counter, no session recording, no heat map, no advertising or conversion tag.

Every resource the site loads comes from its own origin. Fonts, stylesheets, images and scripts are served by this site, not by a font host or a content delivery network, so loading a page here does not disclose your address to a third party. There are no embeds, no maps, and no captcha service.

Asking for a copy, or for deletion

Write to [email protected] and ask.

Because nothing is stored beyond delivery, a deletion request means deleting the email your submission became, and any reply thread it started. We will do that and confirm it. If you would rather not send an inquiry through the form at all, the same address takes ordinary email directly.

Who operates this site

Hazard Labs is the incubator arm of Depth Consulting Ltd, which is the legal entity operating this site and the controller of anything you send through it. The company can be reached at https://depthconsulting.ca, or at [email protected] for anything to do with this site.

Changes to this notice

The date at the top of this page is generated from the notice's own source file, which lives in the site's repository alongside the rest of its content. If the notice changes, that date changes with it.
